The V Forum Sociology of Health: New Forms of Interdisciplinary Synergy took place in Moscow on November 23rd and 24th, 2023. For the fifth year running, the forum has served as a platform for professionals in the medical and socio-humanistic fields to come together and address the most critical challenges within the healthcare system.
By proposing the forum theme of «New Forms of Interdisciplinary Synergy,» we aimed to explore the innovative approaches to collaboration, communication, and research within the healthcare sector to effectively tackle contemporary issues.
When we talk about interdisciplinarity, we acknowledge that the healthcare system needs to cater to various population groups, and the language of interaction must be clear for each of them. This entails not only relying on the dry language of classical science or medicine but also incorporating other forms of communication, such as utilizing artistic means.
The Forum spanned two days, featuring expert panels on day one and narrative sessions on the second day, focusing on novel formats and themes in healthcare communication.
Interdisciplinarity is also crucial as we navigate complex processes within the healthcare system, such as digitization, working with elderly population, and people with disabilities, all of which were addressed in specialized sessions during the Forum.
Through this interdisciplinary synthesis, we seek a source of development, a new anti-fragility that will not only allow our healthcare system to successfully navigate crisis periods but also emerge stronger, uncovering new resources for growth.
