About

III Forum Sociology of Health: Lessons from the Pandemic and Future of Healthcare will be held on November 23, 2021 as a hybrid, online and in-person, event.

For the third time, the FORUM will become a debating platform for health and social science experts, who will discuss the most topical practical issues of healthcare development.

The pandemic has demonstrated that at the heart of the healthcare system is an individual, either a citizen or a health professional. Dedication of doctors and medical staff has mitigated the devastating consequences of the new coronavirus disease. However the victory depends on citizens’ trust and commitment.

The pandemic has become a trigger for numerous shifts in healthcare system and shed light on its future. Today we are witnessing rapid implementation of digital technologies into management, new strategies to working with personnel and public. We see changes in the perception of a healthcare system, changes in the image of a health specialist in the public mind. All these processes requires reassessment and new solutions.

FORUM participants are experts who form public opinion and study behavioral models in Russia and abroad. They are scientists, health leaders, practicing sociologists (pollsters), big data specialists and other professionals from the public, private and non-profit sectors.
